    Hussam Rahama El Basher is a Senior Associate and member of the Sudanese Bar Association, licensed to practise law in Sudan and registered on the roll of non-Qatari lawyers. During his time working in the State of Qatar he has gained extensive practical experience across a wide range of legal services, including cases and disputes before the courts, tax committees, labour and rental dispute settlement committees, and judicial authorities of various kinds and levels, in addition to providing legal consultations drawn from years of work at companies and law firms in Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He has completed numerous courses on intellectual property and patent affairs from the WIPO Academy (Madrid), as well as courses in human rights, and has participated in legal educational workshops and seminars with local organisations in Qatar. In 2019 he took up the project to amend Sudan's 1991 rental law, contributing with a panel of legal experts to a draft that safeguards the rights of both landlord and tenant, and submitted it to the Ministry of Justice.
