A claim begins with a statement of claim filed before the Court of First Instance. Hearings are typically short and procedural, with the substance argued through written memoranda and documentary evidence. Expert committees are frequently appointed in technical or accounting disputes, and their reports carry significant weight.

Judgments may be appealed to the Court of Appeal and, on points of law, to the Court of Cassation. Enforcement is a separate track before the execution judge and should be planned from the outset, including precautionary attachment where assets are at risk.
